Higher consciousness knows that everything happens for a reason and there are a cause and effect. But energy of electromagnetic vibrational frequency does not know the reason, it only attracts where it is. It does not know the differences between negative and positive, dark and light. So, it will be attracting the frequency, where it is connecting.
In this case, somehow if you are in the lower vibration, then you can change it only by your conscious choice. And then it will connect you to the higher frequency for continue changing your reality to the highest level. But the unconscious / subconscious mind/ soul only can vibrate higher, where the frequency is naturally high.
From another point, subconscious mind is more powerful than the conscious mind, though it feels like it does not know what is wrong or right, and it brings everything what it thinks needed to the surface level. But somehow it is doing everything right by its alignment, signs and synchronicity, though sometimes seems like it might be doing the wrong thing, until it's completely clean the old patterns.
Then after coming to the conscious level, if needed suddenly it can change the direction. Since, the conscious mind can identify the right and wrong, so it brings what is supposed to be or should be done by its truth, love, compassion, ethics and awareness.
Note: Subconscious / unconscious actually soul but when it connected with mind, it becomes conscious. Also, 3D = Mind = Conscious and 5D = Soul = Subconscious. So, you can only connect with your higher consciousness when you know and are able to combine perfectly both together to utilize its power according to the different situations.
